Eetcafé ‘t Folk becomes Nouter Bar
Muziekcentrum Dranouter is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a striking transformation. From now on, the concert venue will be known as Nouter Club, while Eetcafé ’t Folk is being renamed Nouter Bar. Through this rebranding, the organization is opting for a single, clear name and identity where music, hospitality, and social connection meet. Nouter Club is also launching its autumn program, while Nouter Bar introduces a new menu and updated opening hours.
Eetcafé ’t Folk becomes Nouter Bar: familiar atmosphere with a fresh new look
The hospitality side is also getting a new name. Eetcafé ’t Folk will now be known as Nouter Bar, making the connection with the concert venue even clearer. The location remains a place for everyone, even when there are no concerts. Marleen Six remains the familiar face behind the bar. “After 25 years, we’re starting a new chapter,” says Marleen Six. “We’re keeping the warm atmosphere but giving our business a clearer musical identity, which is also reflected in the menu.”
The new menu has a playful, festival-inspired feel, featuring pinsas, finger food, dirty fries, fish & chips, and fresh salads. The classic Chateau Burger and Kayam Burger – nods to Festival Dranouter – are here to stay. There are also plenty of veggie, vegan, and family-friendly options.
New opening hours and venue hire
Nouter Bar isn’t just open on concert nights; it welcomes visitors all year round. Opening hours are seasonal, including weekends and holidays.
When Nouter Bar is closed, the venue can be hired for private parties. Guests can make use of the dining area and the professionally equipped kitchen, with space for their own caterer. The building also features a terrace, a roof terrace with views of the Kemmelberg, and ample parking.
Familiar, but with a fresh look
Alongside the new name, the building has also had a makeover. The entrance, restaurant, and concert hall have been renovated without losing their familiar character.
The interior has been given a contemporary update with a clear link to music: colorful neon accents, instruments on the wall, a vintage music wall… Extra greenery and a cozy seating area create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Specific color accents also make the visual distinction between Nouter Club and Nouter Bar clearer.
